1. Agreement and eligibility
By using So Smooth ABC, you agree to these Terms of Use. Adults should review these terms before allowing a child to use the service. Children should use the service with permission and appropriate supervision from a parent or guardian. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Educational service
The current So Smooth ABC game features 26 uppercase-to-lowercase letter matching activities, numbers 1 through 20, and 30 three-letter spelling activities with illustrated prompts and prerecorded narration, phonics audio, and sound effects. Learners can earn in-game completion celebrations and a downloadable graduation certificate after completing all three learning sections. These activities support practice and enjoyment; they do not provide formal assessment, individualized instruction, or a guarantee of educational outcomes.
3. Accounts, profiles, and progress
In the current version, a family can create multiple child learning profiles on one browser. Names or nicknames, an avatar, lesson mastery, certificates, and sound preferences are saved locally on that browser. They are not linked to an online family account and do not automatically follow a child to another device. Adults can manually download and restore a local profile backup. Cloudflare-based parent accounts and cross-device saving are planned, but not yet available.
4. Acceptable use
Please use the service lawfully and respectfully. Do not attempt to access another family's information, interfere with game or website security, misuse contact forms, scrape restricted information, introduce malicious code, or misuse our content or systems.
5. Content and ownership
Unless otherwise identified, the So Smooth ABC branding, website design, educational materials, code, art, sound files, and related materials are provided for personal, noncommercial use. No ownership rights are transferred by using the service. Third-party materials may have their own licenses.
6. Availability and changes
We may update content, fix issues, add or discontinue features, and temporarily suspend access for maintenance or security. We aim to preserve learning progress where feasible, but users should not rely on uninterrupted availability or permanent storage unless a specific service commitment is provided.
7. Privacy and families
Our Privacy Policy describes local learning records and parent controls. Grown-ups can reset progress, delete one child profile, or delete all locally saved profiles under Parent Settings. These actions do not remove copies of backup files a parent previously downloaded. Please do not send a child's full name, address, health details, or other sensitive information by email.
8. No warranties and limits
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of continuous operation, error-free service, or any particular educational result. Nothing in these terms excludes consumer rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Updates to these terms
We may revise these terms when features or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required. Continued use after applicable changes may constitute acceptance, to the extent allowed by law.
